Los Angeles is about the motion picture industry, so it's not unusual if you see your barista at a cafe in the morning, and later you might say, (while watching TV at home) "There's my barista in a commercial on TV!"  Everywhere you go, taco trucks, vegan food, yoga and farmers markets abound. Other things to do: Griffith Observatory for views of LA, Art at the Getty, and rooftop bars or outdoor movies. If you need the beach, walk along Venice Boardwalk. For the eclectic, go to Art Walk or just leave a note at the Wisdom Tree. If you are nostalgic, hike up to the Hollywood sign. This is a town of movers and shakers! (And an occasional earthquake).
