Charlotte, Weddington, Matthews

Next to Lake Norman, is Charlotte, known for kayaking, NASCAR, fine BBQ and even pimento cheese. Pimento cheese in this town is the "Southern Pate" or "Carolina Caviar." Trek outside of the city for hiking and beautiful trails. Never you worry, Charlotte is also about: education, diversity and community. FYI, Downtown is called Uptown.

Sports fans enjoy the Carolina Panthers and The Charlotte Hornets. Check out the many museums and beautiful art installations around town, like the Metalmporphosis, or the Majestic Firebird statues. You can even relish skyline views from rooftop bars and gastropubs. Here are the places for beer:
